Question: On Vista Machines, when pressing "ok" after entering registration information - error "Problem creating registration file"
Answer: Right click on the Chairside icon on the desktop and choose 'Run as Administrator'
Question: Error when loading "No Security key is found. Please insert your security key and start again"
Answer: Check that the key is plugged in to the proper computer.
Question: Registration window keeps appearing.
Answer: This means that the information entered is not accurate. Please check the information. In addition, make sure that the top right hand corner shows your key number.
Question: Cannot see created Series.
Answer: Check the file permission on the server to see that the ChairsideServer folder has full access permission to write and read files for everyone.
Question: Cannot see some movies in Windows Vista
Answer: Some movies are blocked due to User access control, disable 'User Access Control'
Question: When playing movie Error "Macromedia Projector Error"
Answer: Change QuickTime to play in Safe mode by going to Control Panel -> QuickTime -> Advanced
Question: Error "This program cannot run"
Answer: QuickTime is not installed, please install QuickTime from the DVD or download it from www.apple.com
Question: Does the license screen load up every time the program is launched.
Question: Cannot go to create New as it says that user does not have privileges.
Answer: Under Configuration select 'Login' enter username and password as 'admin'.
Question: Is the Chairside software on a CD or a DVD.
Answer: it’s on a DVD.
Question: Education Not Found Error when loading Chairside.
Answer: Incomplete installation. Remove Chairside Folder and re-install software.
Question: The registration window keeps appearing and I cannot press ok.
Answer: The information in the window is incorrect, check that the information is correct.
Question: How do I get rid of the black bar where the movie controls are?
Answer: This can be fixed with a newer version of quicktime, click here to download.
Question: What files are shared on the Server?
Answer: The files on the server are data files that keep a record of patients created as well as the program user information. It also keeps all series that are created. Minimal network usage.
